Sawantwadi was the seat of the Sawant Bhonsle dynasty, was founded by Khem Sawant I in 1627, and Khem Sawant II established his capital here. Known for its lush landscapes, it lies amidst the Western Ghats and a few barely visited beaches. An intimate town with diverse cultural influences, it is known for its wooden toys, the art form ganjifa, and the city’s pride, The Sawantwadi Palace.
A journey to the Sawantwadi Palace is a humble royal experience. It is an extraordinary royal ‘home’ set in the foothills of the Sindhudurg range and is a celebration of the bygone era. It is a land of artists and is the epicentre of many hand-based art forms. Famous for Ganjifa Art and Lacquerware, it is home to many skilled artisans. These art forms were revived by the Royal family and the hotel itself adorns various pieces of these hand-crafted marvels. The current Prince and Princess have elevated the entire experience to another level by bringing in a culinary journey highlighting the Malvani cuisine.

- The cost is based on a minimum of 10 guests travelling together.
- We retain the right to change the schedule and itinerary.
- In case of unforseen circumstances, we may have to reschedule some of the tours.
- The activities cannot be guaranteed, rescheduled, or refunded on late arrival at the agreed meeting points.
- The vehicles for the transfers are arranged based on one big piece of luggage and one small piece of luggage per person as the baggage limit.

Cancellation terms:- If you have a room partner who cancels, you will be required to pay the single supplement, if applicable
- Any cancellations made more than 45 days prior to the start of the trip will be entitled to a full refund, less Rs. 10000 service fees
- Any cancellations made within 60 - 45 days prior to the start of the trip will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the tour cost
- Any cancellations made within 30 days of travel will not be eligible for any refund
